TGIF: Treat yo' self

May the Fourth be With You

Happy Star Wars Day!

Wowzers. Last week was a doozy, and while this week was a bit less frantic, it still wasn't an easy one.

My 16 year old just got a job. That meant last minute additions to the schedule so he could attend training. It also meant being up past my bedtime most nights.

Things are looking up as of today. I took the day off work and have the house to myself. I plan on pampering myself ALL.DAY.LONG. Sleeping in, going to the gym in the middle of the day.

And a MASSAGE!  The written word cannot express how excited I am about this.

The forecast calls for sunny skies and near 80's. Which means an afternoon outside. Maybe a couple easy walks with my fur girls. And definitely a bonfire once the sun starts to go down.

Then sleep, glorious sleep.

Tomorrow we head to Pella, Iowa for the annual Tulip Festival. We go every year (my guy is Dutch-American) and every year I wonder how the tulips are going to look. This year, I'm definitely worried.

The rabbits (or possibly one of the dogs) ate ours. I can't have anything nice.

There's also yard work in my future. The grass definitely needs mowed. That's on pause while I wait for our new electric lawnmower to arrive. I've wanted one for years and years, but we had a perfectly good gas one.

Then that gas one literally fell apart last year. So yay, new lawnmower. Not so yay for the price tag.
